The city of Vancouver has already spent billions on preparation for the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics, but many are converened about how the city's homeless and working poor will fit into the plans. WGH follows a pioneering group in the city's Downtown Eastside as it embarks on a campaign to empower this misrepresented community through new media to provide a voice for those left behind.
This section of the film looks at the True North Media House which aims to inspire social media creation and educate about best practices for sharing content with audience. We’ll do this through a variety of meet-ups, photo walks, field trips, and outings with international media makers and aggregating Olympic culture-related content licensed with a Creative Commons license.
