Gurtong Peace Trust Project is an independent, not-for-profit, community-based project, which aims at removing all ethnic, political or personal obstacles on the way to unity, peace and mutual respect among South Sudanese.

The project was defined and developed by Napoleon Adok Gai from Yirol County, South Sudan... It was while in the UK that Napoleon was inspired to establish the Gurtong website as a result of discussions he had with a number of South Sudanese -- living in different parts of Europe-- who were frequently cut off from learning of the events in Sudan .
